Carruthers Appointed to Ohio Home Visiting Consortium
COLUMBUS –Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) has appointed State Rep. Sara Carruthers (R-Hamilton) to the Ohio Home Visiting Consortium.
The purpose of the Consortium is to ensure that home visiting services in Ohio support safe and connected families, improve health, educational, and social outcomes for expectant and new parents, and promote children’s health and development.
“I appreciate Speaker Stephens taking my experience as Chairwoman of the House Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services to help Ohioans in a new capacity,” said Carruthers. “I’m looking forward to ensuring that wellness home visits are high-quality and effective.”
The Ohio Home Visiting Consortium is part of Help Me Grow, a parent support program that encourages positive parenting and improved child development and school readiness.
