Police Seize Enough Fentanyl to Kill 35,000 in Hamilton Bust


Police announce the Thursday arrest of 46 year old Hamilton resident Henry Allen Thompson III through investigation with Butler County Sheriff’s Office Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce (BURN) and Hamilton Police. The arrest took place at Thompson’s 1300 Hensley Ave address with a search warrant served at 4:00 pm on July 21. 


The search yielded 70 grams of Fentanyl, 1 kilogram of Cocaine, approximately 1⁄2 ounce of Crack Cocaine, over $40,000.00 in cash, multiple firearms, and a ballistic vest according to a press release by the Butler County Sheriff's Office. Just two milligrams of Fentanyl can be deadly, meaning Thursday’s bust yielded around 35,000 lethal doses. Thompson is charged with 1st Degree Felony Possession of Drugs, and 3rd Degree Felony Weapons Under Disability through Hamilton Municipal Court.
