No Remorse
Three-year-old Tiffany Hubbard was brutally tortured and killed by her father in 1986, her father has shown no remorse and is due to be before a parole board in May. Tiffany’s family is asking the community to block Jeffery Hubbard’s parole.
What happened to Tiffany?
Three-year-old Tiffany was placed into the custody of her father Jeff Hubbard despite never having a relationship with him, a placement that her mother fought against.
“Tiffany was the most amazing three-year-old, I know she would have grown up to be somebody amazing. She could read small words, and count, she knew her colors and was potty trained. For 27 days she lived with a stranger, a monster.”
For Sherrie Jackson, thinking of her three-year-old daughter Tiffany brings back lifelong memories of trauma and victimization. By 1987, Sherrie would be in the courtroom watching the trial of Jeffery for the 1986 death of their daughter Tiffany.
For 27 days Tiffany was locked in the bathroom of her father Jeffery’s home in Hamilton, days she spent being beaten and raped. Jeffery, wanting to inflict the maximum amount of pain and fear, left little Tiffany in the bathroom with a werewolf mask that she was terrified of, beating her with wooden boards and starving her, only providing food to Tiffany by forcing uncooked soup directly from the can down her throat while he held her head back.
Block Parole, a nonprofit, advocated against Hubbard’s release in 2012 saying, “The gangrene resulted from the untreated, infected wounds all over Tiffany’s tiny body. When police found Tiffany, she was curled up under the bathroom sink with the werewolf mask and the wooden board next to her. Her body was entirely covered with wounds and bruises. She was so emaciated she looked like a Holocaust victim.”
Three-year-old Tiffany died alone and scared under the bathroom sink, locked away from the world with only a werewolf mask to look at. During the trial, Jeffrey expressed no remorse and blamed his actions on wanting to “get even” with Tiffany’s mother, who was a victim of Jeffery’s abuse herself after he caught her home on fire and harassed her family for years.
At age 17, years before Judge David Neihaus placed Tiffany in Jeffery’s custody, Jeffery was convicted of molesting a 7-year-old girl. During this conviction a psychological exam was performed, describing Hubbard as “a very immature and inadequate young man who has substantial underlying anger.”
Hubbard pled guilty to the death of Tiffany, receiving a sentence of 20 years to life on one count of felony sexual penetration and one count of involuntary manslaughter. In May, Hubbard is due to be before a parole hearing. If granted parole, Hubbard could be released as early as July 1, 2022.
From behind bars, Hubbard has continued to victimize Tiffany’s mother Sherrie, taunting her with a letter detailing how he brutally tortured Tiffany. Jeffery’s other children have spoken out, asking the parole board to keep Hubbard incarcerated for the brutal death of their sister.
