🎡 Butler County Fair Closes Another Successful Year

The 176th Butler County Fair wrapped up this weekend after another outstanding celebration of agriculture, family, and community. Thousands attended throughout the week to enjoy livestock shows, rides, exhibits, entertainment, and great food.

Saturday's severe thunderstorms briefly paused fair activities as visitors took shelter, but the fair resumed once conditions improved, allowing the event to finish on a high note.

Congratulations to all of this year's 4-H and FFA exhibitors, volunteers, vendors, and organizers who helped make another successful fair possible.

⛈️ Storms Sweep Through Butler County

Strong thunderstorms rolled across Butler County Saturday, bringing heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds that interrupted outdoor activities and temporarily halted events at the Butler County Fair.

While many residents experienced heavy rainfall, the storms served as a reminder to stay weather aware as summer storm season continues.

👮 Butler County Mourns Fairfield Police Officer John French

The Fairfield community is mourning the loss of Officer John French of the Fairfield Police Department, who was killed in a vehicle crash in Darke County.

The Fairfield Police Department remembered Officer French as a dedicated public servant who served with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. His passing has deeply affected fellow officers, city employees, and residents throughout the community.

The Butler County Hub extends its heartfelt condolences to Officer French's family, friends, and the entire Fairfield Police Department.

🕊️ Community Mourns Milford Township Crash Victim

Our thoughts are also with the family and friends of Christine Rhoads-Larsen, 44, who lost her life in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Hamilton-Eaton Road in Milford Township.

Two other individuals were injured in the collision, which remains under investigation by the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

🚨 Ohio Launches New Romance Scam Initiative

Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson has announced the Romance Imposter Scams Forensic Initiative, a statewide effort to help victims of romance and financial scams.

Officials encourage anyone who believes they have been targeted by an online scam to report it through Ohio's Scam Watch resources. These scams continue to cost victims millions of dollars every year and often begin through social media, dating sites, and text messages.

🏭 Magellan Aerospace Bankruptcy Continues to Be Watched

Local leaders continue monitoring the impact of Magellan Aerospace's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on its Middletown operations.

While day-to-day operations continue, many residents remain interested in how the restructuring may affect employees and the local economy in the months ahead.
