The Monroe Firefighters Local 3824 are accepting applications for the 2022 Kenny Ellis Scholarship, a scholarship in which Monroe community members may receive $2,000 to start a career in Fire and EMS. There is no age restriction to be awarded the scholarship, applications are due June 15, 2022.

Kenny Ellis was a Monroe Firefighter who died a line of duty death in 2011 following a three year battle with brain cancer.
